From 8 to 9 September 2018, the Air Legend airshow was held, which is an attempt to start a new annual airshow like the Flying legends of Duxford. The location was well chosen as Melun was the development airfield of France where many new (engine) designs took of to the skies for the first time. Ingredients for the airshow were thematisation, a flight line walk, and many planes.
